Ms. Katie - The Owner
Katie Stull is the owner and manager of Excel Dance Centre. She has been dancing since the age of 2 1/2 and plans on continuing to dance until someone takes away her shoes!
Katie graduated from Western Michigan University with a Child Psychology major and an Art minor. She also studied dance at Western for 4 years. She has trained throughout her career with Gus Giordano, Joe Tremaine, Darryl Retter, Wade Robson and many more.
Katie has received many awards and recognition for her training through Tremaine Dance, L.A. Underground, Showstoppers, Dance Educators of America and New York City Dance Alliance to name a few.
Katie is a very happily married wife to her husband Kyle who is a chiropractor in Texas Corners and an exhausted, yet loving mother of twins, Ella and Wyatt.
Katie is very passionate about her work with the students at Excel; her students and parents mean the world to her. She prides herself on having a studio that offers a friendly, inviting and loving environment where students can come get away and just have fun doing what they love, dance! She also is pleased to share that the studio, it's music and costuming is age appropriate for every dancer. Katie is very excited to share her passion and love of dance with her students and looks forward to every new year!

Ms. Ginger Graham, Office Manager
Ms. Ginger comes to us from Blaine, Maine and is a lady of several hats here at Excel. In Maine, Ginger was a behavior Health Specialists for several years and has the tools needed to work with children and families which is her passion! Her title is office manager but if you ask any parent here they will tell you she is much more! She loves the bonds and relationships she has created here at Excel and always looks forward to meeting new families.
Ms. Alex Atherton- Teacher
Alex began dancing at the age of 3 and trained with Excel since 2004 and began teaching for us in the fall of 2010. She is studying Elementary Education and has a huge passion for children! Alex teaches all genres from pre-school to level 3 classes. She has been a part of our team for 2 years now.
Ms. Jamie Scott- Teacher
Ms. Jamie started dancing at the age of 4 and did most of her training in Livonia, (Detroit) Mi. Where she earned several Regional and National titles on her competitive team. She is Majoring in Marketing and Minoring in Dance at WMU. Jamie specializes in Ballet but teaches all genres and ages. She has always had a passion for working with children and loves that she can mix that passion with her love of dance. She has been an Excel team member for 3 years.
Ms. Stefanie Brooks- Teacher
Ms. Stefanie has been dancing since the age of 3 and competed for several years earning many awards. She started her dancing at Excel in 2005 where she trained with Ms. Katie for several years and became an official team member in 2011. Ms. Stefanie currently specializes in Pre-School classes up to level 1 and has a huge
heart for kids. | Ms. Ashley Counterman, Teacher
Ms. Ashley has been dancing and tumbling since age 3 with most of her training at
Patti Herm School of Dance, where she earned several Regional and National titles. Ashley graduated from WMU with a degree in secondary education and Spanish. She was part of the WMU dance team for four years and Captain for the last year. She has been a part of the Excel Team for 6 years. Here at Excel She not only teaches all levels and genres but has helped to develop our Gym program over the last 3 years. She loves being a substitute teacher by day and a dance teacher by night. Ms. Caitlin Hack- Teacher
Ms. (Lynn) has taken dance since the age of 3 and studied in Detroit Where she
competed for several years earning several awards. She is majoring in Special Education at WMU and has a love for kids. She was a member of the WMU Dance Team for three years and was co-captian for the last year. Ms. Lynn specializes in tap but teaches all genres and ages here at Excel. She has been a part of the team for 4 years. Ms. Janelle Phillips- Teacher
Ms. Janelle has been dancing her whole life and did majority of her training at
Ms. Lore’s school of Performing Arts where she was regionally and nationally recognized. Janelle was part of the 2009-2010 WMU Dance Team and has trained at Western. She teaches all genres and styles here at Excel and has become a part of our Gym program this last year at Excel. She has been a team member for 3 years.
